How to choose a CP brass control valve for bathroom lines

Short answer: A CP (chrome-plated) brass control valve shuts off or controls water at a bathroom or kitchen point. Choose the size to match the supply line, and check the body, finish and shut-off.

What to check

  1. Size: M-Tech Valves makes the CP brass control valve in 15 mm, 20 mm and 25 mm. Use 15 mm for wash basins, showers and geysers, 20 mm for bathroom and kitchen supply lines, and 25 mm for larger bathroom supply lines and concealed fittings.
  2. Body and finish: brass body with a bright chrome-plated (CP) finish, which looks good in modern bathrooms.
  3. Operation: smooth quarter-turn with a washer seal for a tight shut-off. Turn it by hand and check it moves smoothly.
  4. Fitting: fit with a standard spanner and PTFE tape on the threads.

Where it is used

Wash basins, shower lines and geyser connections, bathroom and kitchen lines, and concealed fittings in homes, hotels, offices and commercial projects.

Warranty

All M-Tech Valves products carry a 5-year warranty against breakage and leakage, with piece-to-piece replacement.
